So some background on the situation. I currently work a corporate job and I’ve been there for a couple of years. On my last payslip I received, it reflected around a 15% raise to my base salary. After I received it, I inquired to my boss if this was correct and if I had received a raise. My boss was confused and said it might be a system error. After calling HR and finding out, they said that it was a technical glitch and that the extra will be removed from my following paycheck.
How could a glitch like this happen? I was celebrating thinking that I got a raise to adjust for inflation, but in reality it was a “glitch in the system”. Something is not adding up here & do I have any recourse here?
