Raisin’ Cane’s is evil

I worked at a Raisin’ Cane’s in a college town, so every night there would be a line out the door of drunken and insufferable college students eager to get their hands on the most mediocre chicken ever. Even when the doors close at 2am, the line is still so long that it takes another hour to serve the stragglers, and another 2 hours to clean the restaurant, so it would be often that we wouldn’t leave until 5am. Halloween weekend was the worst. For those 3 days, I’d come home so exhausted that I’d wake up and the sun would be setting, just in time for my next shift. I didn’t get to see the sun in those 3 days and needless to say I had a breakdown at the restaurant, almost collapsing in a cursing fit in front of both staff and customers.
There’s no seating for employees (despite our state having “right-to-sit” laws), breaks were a measly 15 minutes IF there was an opportunity to take it, and there were no break areas.
I was too broke to afford food even at the 50% discount, so they wrote me up for eating scraps slated to be thrown out and even wrote up a MANAGER for paying for my meal once.
During the Holiday season, they cut off their night crew entirely because they would be closing up earlier, so I would be without work for 3 weeks.
I put in my 2 weeks notice then, and afterwards it was MARCH and they refused to give me my tax forms, telling me to get it myself digitally using information that I no longer had access to due to no longer being an employee.
Now every time I see someone praising Raisin’ Cane’s, I just want to throttle them.
