Rant- Lowest paid and least perks

I am a receptionist at a construction buisness. It was -23 today and basically a white out. Literally everyone left early except me and another lady. It always seems like the most static jobs are paid the least. All these office employees can say they are working from home, leave early when the weather is inclement etc. But me and the other admin team have to stay until the end time even when we see nobody in person. I literally answer a phone and forward emails. My job could be done at home as much as anyone else's. But regardless, I stayed. But when I said I didn't want to get the mail this one day (I had indoor shoes and forgot to bring my heavy winter boots for my mail run as I had to uber) my manager got sullen with me. Whenever it's beautiful out she happily offers…

I worked through my lunch since I had no car. I am annoyed. Do you ever feel like you are doing your absolute best to hang on and its still not good enough?
