It's only my second day at a new job. It took four months of job hunting, interviews that led to nothing, and a lot of effort to secure this job. But for the second day in a row, I can't gain access to my own office because my company didn't inform security properly.
I understand this is a small issue. But consider this: I accepted the position almost a month ago. So they fully well knew of my intended start date. Moreover, this is a national company with offices all over the country. You're telling me you can't coordinate one new employee to properly have security clearance???
In addition to this cluster fuck issue, I'm now missing virtual training because I can't get into the building. So despite wanting to work, the fucking company is preventing me from working and completing training so I can in turn become an effective employee.
Again, overall the security issue is small. But I almost don't want to waste my time with a company who I have to fight against just to be able to work for them.
Thank for coming to my rant ted talk.
