Received an offer letter and this doesn’t seem legal

Received an offer letter from a small company and have some major red flags. See below paragraph. Never heard of not completing paid training resulting in a penalty free of the agreed paid training amount, or a penalty for not putting two weeks notice in. I always thought that if you work for an agreed wage you’re entitled to that amount? Feels like a company that struggles to keep employees so they wrote this into the offer letter to keep their money. Definitely turned down the position. “Upon satisfactory completion of training, your rate of pay will be $200 per day that you work. Your expected stop range will be 150-175 stops. Your rate of pay during the training period will be $150 per day that you work (no stop threshold). Training is expected to last for 1-2 weeks. If training is not successfully completed or if you choose to leave the company before training is completed, there will be a penalty fee equivalent to the earned training pay. If at any time you choose to resign from the company without giving a full 2 week notice, your final paycheck will be reduced to the smallest amount permissible by law. You will be expected to work between 5-6 days per week. Your schedule will be finalized upon competition of training.”
