Recruiter wants me to apply for different position

So I relocated recently due to my family receiving a once in a lifetime opportunity and left my very well paid job. Though I was well paid, I was exploited and stressed all the time. Now that I'm applying for new positions, I have been having a rough time getting responses from companies.

I have an engineering degree with a specific background thar is hard to find in my new area so I am looking at more general engineering positions.

That brings me to the text from the recruiter I received today. I was told that my resume was passed around internally and that they think I would be a great fit for an associate scientific position. This position is 3rd shift, 12 hours shifts, 6 days a week with alternating weekends and pays $23/hr.

If I was really considering this position I would be taking nearly a six figure pay cut from my last postion for worst conditions.

It's baffling.
