I keep getting tech and software recruiters contacting me on LinkedIn. I have my profile set to open, so that's fine. I like to see what's out there.
Anyway, I told one guy Yes, I'd like to hear more about the position, and he calls me a few minutes later. He says the company wants to a thorough background check, i say okay, I've done that before. He then emails the following:
You have Paystubs, Tax records to prove employment record of past 10 years, as there is stringent background check.
In case missing employment record of any one client, BGC will not be completed and they will not hire you.
Is this normal? I mean, that seems a bit much to me.
