Reducing hours during the holiday season is cruel and inhumane.

As the title says, it’s absolutely cruel and should honestly be illegal…. But it isn’t… because America. I work for one of the biggest car dealerships in the country and today we had a big meeting where they told us that we were all working reduced hours. A 20 hour work week to be exact. They told us how “business is business” and we could not afford to stay in business while having full hours and that we need to “work harder with little time.” The person who gave this shitshow of a speech makes well over 100K a year. The people next to him make about the same, maybe a bit less. A week or so ago, they preached on how we were a “family” and how were “United.” And this week they hit us with this. How do you guys feel about reducing hours during the season or reducing hours in general? Any advice on what to do? Budget accordingly?
