Hi Antiworkers! I repost this post because it hasn't been approved for 2 weeks, so at the end no one actually saw it.
Here's my story:
I was contacted by a recruiter that asked me if I would be interested in a position they're hiring for. Considering I have a new job lined up I asked about the basic information like salary range and the response was that “this and other information will be provided during the second stage of the interview”.
The first stage? 40-minute online assessment to decide if I'm qualified for the position, even though they're the ones that contacted me. My response was as below.
Did I burn a bridge? Sure. Does it feel good to give them a taste of reality check? OH YEAH! 10/10 would recommend. If everyone acted like this, they would either learn to treat everyone with at least basic respect or go broke.
If they don't value you, at least you should always value yourself. Remember: you're not a replaceable “employee”, you're a human being that deserves love, appreciation, self-realisation and opportunity to feed yourself while having the time and energy to pursue what's actually important in life.
