Resigned from my job yesterday – left them in shock with a company email @ALL

Sent this email to @ ALL in the company – had many of the employees reach out and thank me. Dear All, This will be my final email to all of you. I am resigning effective immediately today from my position as IT Network Manager at (company). I would like to say I have never worked with such fine people on a day-to-day basis. All of you deserve so much. You deserve to be treated fairly, rewarded for hard work, and be recognized and advanced in your careers. Dear All,

This will be my final email to all of you. I am resigning effective immediately today from my position as IT Network Manager at (company). I would like to say I have never worked with such fine people on a day-to-day basis. All of you deserve so much. You deserve to be treated fairly, rewarded for hard work, and be recognized and advanced in your careers. At the very least, all of your salaries should be raised to cover inflation. Every other company is doing that, so why not here? My departure is in no way in connection with any of you, it is geared more toward personal opinions on policies by management and wanting to advance my own career.

It has hard to believe that I have been here for almost a 1yr and 1/2. There is so much work to be done, and I hope the next IT person is able to accomplish just that. However, for the company to succeed and keep up with the high demand, it is vital to maintain a functioning IT Department. This means hiring multiple individuals. You need a security person, a system admin person, a desktop support, and an IT Manager to run it all. I wanted to do that – but was told that it was not needed at the current time.

All in all, I do wish you all the very best. Please stay in touch with me.

Remember to be proud of yourself, and your careers. Never let a person make you think otherwise and never let people walk over on you. We all have a voice and, at the very least, should treat each other as fellow human beings with kindness and respect.

My final word to management – remind your employees that you are proud of them. Thank them for what they do each day for you. We want to be told that we made a difference. Because at the end of each day, we are reminded, and our work is reflected in others.

Have a great weekend and remember to love yourself.

Your truly,

David
