Is this just the way things are now? I just had a recruiter reach out for a 'preliminary' conversation before either telling me no, or setting up something with the hiring manager. Of course I was thrilled, but then I went back to check my records (because I honestly didn't remember applying to the job). I applied to this job on 12/6. Is it just taking almost 3 months to even hear back from applications now? It makes me wonder about the 100 or so apps I just never heard back from!
