So last month my area got hit with a Decent Blizzard, we ended up with about a foot of snow in 24 hours. My dad called in due to the Highway Patrol closing the roads within 200 miles of us. So I just found out his job wrote him up for not coming in any way because he drives a 4X4 vehicle so “he should have been able to get to work”. Hell the snow plows didn't come through my area till the day after he had called in. I know he works for a hospital, but when even ambulances are unable to get through the snow; why should someone who lives 32 miles away be required to drive it by some pencil pusher who lives 2 blocks from work. Yes I was serious that around 50-60% of the roads in my state were closed by the highway patrol and people told to stay home, but he got written up for listening to that instead of coming in anyway.
