“I worked at a deli/brick oven pizza place in a grocery store and we had this new high school kid training on how to make pizzas and he struggled with getting the pizza in and out of the brick oven (if you’ve ever done this you know the dough sometimes sticks to the bottom and will rip/ruin your pizza). This lady came in and made an order for pizza and breadsticks. He got the pizzas out just fine, but the breadsticks kept getting stuck so he’d have to start over and you can tell this kid was starting to panic. I was fuming mad because this poor kid did not deserve this kind of treatment so I went off on her and told her it was only his second day of work and he’s doing his best and that she shouldn’t be treating kids this way all for $5 breadsticks.

She left to go tell the store manager and the manager came and WROTE ME UP!! She didn’t even care that her employees were being treated horribly by a “long time customer”. We all quit right then and there on the spot. I won’t let anyone treat me or anyone else like garbage for something as small as breadsticks. It was also super busy during that time so I’m sure the store manager had fun picking up all the work.”
