Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but a family member got a job in a “logistics” company, they offered a big salary for a starting position 2x or 3x a minimum wage, ask for a selfie with their document in hand and bank account number.
They signed a contract (that I haven't seen) and have been “working” for about a week, but the only real work only lasted about 2 days and one of the tasks was converting some money into crypto. That's what raised my alarms, crypto? They're allegedly a logistics/shipping company.
So I googled and found a couple of people describing getting the same offer but were unsure whether to sign or not since it sounds like a scam and the companies don't seem to exist where they say they are (UK, the main office says its in the center of London??)
Anyways if anyone knows how to proceed regarding this, my family member is based in Europe and just got there, so we don't know the laws and don't have any attorney that can help us. Thanks in advance for any tips.
