Schedule change to avoid OT pay?

Hi all I work at a hospital laboratory in NYS and I have a question. This past weekend the other night tech who works 3 12s called out each day (we figured he would still work at least 1-2 of his shifts) and as a result I ended up getting called in picking up two shifts sunday and monday night. I work typically tuesday-saturday morning (T,W,Th,F evening) and currently on my tuesday shift, my scheduling manager reworked the schedule so i wouldnt work W,Th but still work T,F (giving me essentially my 40 with ~3 hours of ot) While I know I am at least entitled to called in not on call pay for the S,M shifts I feel like Ive been almost cheated out of some level of OT as my manager put two other people for the W and Th shift despite relaying that Ill still work the…

While I know I am at least entitled to called in not on call pay for the S,M shifts I feel like Ive been almost cheated out of some level of OT as my manager put two other people for the W and Th shift despite relaying that Ill still work the rest of my normal schedule.

Is this legal for my manager to do so (no contract stating that i need a notification period prior to schedule changes) and essentially limit the amount of OT I would have gotten other wise by putting two other techs to cover the W,Th shifts but leave me to work my normal F shift?
