My role is to support students in classrooms and 1 to 1.
Working at a school which has a student (one of a few) completely unfit to be here.
Part of my job has now become making sure he doesn’t jump off balconies. Yesterday I spent near to an hour in the rain making sure he didn’t slip and fall into a skip (debris box) full of metal waste and rain water in the staff car park, alone and unsupervised besides me following him out of a lesson he left prematurely. No one can be bothered to come to my aid when this child starts to become dangerous.
Pay isn’t enough to bother my union.
