I posted here with a decent “blow up” about a month ago. This is the results and maybe kinda long.
I spent the whole month of april in Jacksonville Florida on a big project. Kicked its ass and about a day and a half ahead of schedule. It's a hydraulic company.
I was thanked the whole time down there and told,”we're gunna have to think of something big to thank you.”
Returned home, got a decent lunch and a $25 gift card. Like wow, I didn't expect anything but don't even begin to pretend this is awesome.
Cut to job search. Many recruiters, texts, emails and calls. Most for entry level type stuff but a few really good opportunities. And with a current employee work history of almost a decade I seemed like a quality employee to these people. Take time off for interviews at great prospects, received an offer at both. The lesser being almost 10k more a year, omg awesome.
President and the owners son somehow caught wind of it and pulled me aside for a meeting. Kinda thought it was going to be the “real thank you” for Florida or I was getting canned. To my surprise it was an ass kiss fest to a level I never would imagine. And I made the presidents Jaw drop on more than one occasion. And the owners boy, like double hand shaking mine on the way out saying how great I am and how everyone loves working with me, himself included.
Said they're going to come up with some kind of offer for me but I do think that ship has sailed. Even if its relative or better I feel like I'd be scarlet lettered into bitch, moan, complaining myself into a raise/promotion.

TL;DR employer of nearly a decade caught wind I was interviewing with other companies and started kissing my ass. And somehow there may be money in the budget.
