Separation Policy Trouble? Sharing here for further advice

I put my two weeks notice in and my supervisor stated that I have to stay for 4 weeks. In their policy, my position “requires” a 4 week notice (I didn't read beforehand, figured 2 weeks was the standard). Is it against the law or anything to say “No, I'm staying for two weeks and then I'm done.” Mostly because I'm in the process of moving back home and have arrangements for the rest of the month surrounding my leave from work. If anyone wants to give advice, I'd be willing to hear it.
