So I am currently in an argument with some people here on Reddit (strange right) about how unemployment works. I commented on a post about someone being fired where someone else said “just get unemployment”. My argument was that there are instances where you cannot collect. For example stealing or maybe abandoning the job and also if the business has a well documented list of ongoing workplace infractions. Their counter argument was it is different state to state (ok I can see that) also that I was slow and that nobody would ever collect because there is always a reason. Just putting this out there to get some other points of view maybe someone who knows better than me can explain how this works in more detail.
