Should I be petty and send out a mass work email when I quit?

I have been Pastry Chef at my job for almost 2 years. I actually work inside a large store. For the last 2 years I've been told my upper management how much the love my work, how great a job I was doing. A new chef, my direct boss, was hired several months ago. He has been trying to influence himself into my menus which I have been very vocally opposed too. I found out that the manager in charge of the company decided he wants this new chef to do all my menus and tell me what to make. I have another job lined up from a friend. I'm quitting no call, no show, with an email that simply says I QUIT. So here's my question, our email system is set up that anyone can send out a mass email. I was thinking of sending out a mass email to the employees explaining my side of the story and why I chose to quit so abruptly. I have a very good relationship with the store staff. They are my biggest fans and customers. And I don't want my boss or upper management to distort the story of what happened. Do you guys think this seem super petty and immature to do?
