A previous employer (my first employer) was doing incredibly unethical work. The entire business model was a front. It was a clickbait ad company participating in ad fraud masquerading as a real advertising agency.
We did nothing of the sort. It was pure clickbait, pure gaming the system. C-suite executives got rich & then sold it off.
I'd like to speak out about it. Unfortunately, it's not illegal per say. Not yet, since advertising is highly unregulated, but it's totally criminal & the public should know. We took advantage of low-income elderly folk.
Also, I should add, my good buddy's uncle was the CEO. So it could be awkward. And I don't know who would pick up the story or if I can even legally expose them.
