I’ve been working in Sales & Marketing for almost 2 years at this company that that literally stresses me out beyond words.
My boss (the CEO) is really bad about paying me on time to the point it causes me to go overdraft (like today). The CEO has never not paid me, but she’ll heavily delay it and even dodge me, by not showing up to the office because of course I’m going to ask about it.
I am constantly in search for a new job, but there’s always something whether it be the pay, the hours, or the distance (or i just don’t get the job) – I just moved about 4 months ago to be closer to this job to save on gas & my time and this job isn’t located in a central area at all and now I live on a not so central area too.
I am so overwhelmed not only with the job itself but also the fact that i’m always playing catch up on bills because I literally can never pay on time.
So in regards to my question, I started freelancing as a social media manager in August 2022, I don’t make nearly as much as my full-time job, but I’m also not able to dedicate a lot of time to it. Would it be worth the risk to quit my current job and give 100% to a side job and hope for the best?
I’m just stressed out on lunch break because I’m so broke to the point I have no money for gas to even get home today & yes my boss dodged the office today, so i won’t be paid today…
