I started a new position about three months ago. I enjoy the work but the culture is discriminatory and unwelcoming to anyone who is not straight, cis, and religious.
My manager is cruel and tyrannical. She has everyone pray before the staff meetings, which makes me very uncomfortable. My coworkers are outwardly transphobic and intolerant of different lifestyles. Its a non profit based on violence prevention and its shocking to me that this is the culture.
This job has made me want to unalive myself many times. I am certain I will quit, but I can't decide when. At this point, I am tempted to quit without notice, so I don't have to spend another two weeks of my life working for this place and these people. I'm concerned about burning bridges, but my mental health is more important right?
I have enough funds to cover rent for the next few months while I secure something else. I know its not good etiquette, but this job makes me question my sanity. Thoughts on quitting with no notice?
