Hi antiworkers! I obviously want this money lol, but definitely don’t want to spend it and be screwed later.
I’m an underpaid customer service rep in a HCOL area, barely surviving on a full paycheck. I left at the end of April for maternity leave, which is partially covered by my company. I was told their policy is:
-8 weeks fully paid leave / 60% from state short term disability and “topped off” 40% by my company
-Remaining 4 weeks at 60% from the state
I was told I would be fully paid for 2 weeks while I waited for state leave to get approved.
I have received FULL payroll checks from my company in addition to the state pay since May. I thought one of the payments may have been retroactive from the 2 week waiting period, but then I got another direct deposit for no reason.
Normally I fill out my hours and mgmt approves it soooo i have no idea what’s happening. My husband has been out of work with severe long covid and I really need the money. My heart says play dumb , but my brain is like – they’re going to find out! What would you do?
