Should I start looking at other workplaces after some sneaky things happened?

Sneaky things happened at work and now I feel like I’m working in a hostile place For starters I’m working in technology at a small company. It’s one of my first jobs. So, a few sneaky things happened that make me want to look elsewhere for work despite the economic situation. For starters my dad told me I should update my linkedin profile so I did (he also told me to start looking for other jobs because they are severely underpaying and using me.) Then someone at the company added me there seeing as I listed the company on my profile. Then a few days later someone ELSE mentioned some seemingly nice compliment about my linkedin profile. Sneaky things happened at work and now I feel like I’m working in a hostile place

For starters I’m working in technology at a small company.

It’s one of my first jobs.

So, a few sneaky things happened that make me want to look elsewhere for work despite the economic situation.

For starters my dad told me I should update my linkedin profile so I did (he also told me to start looking for other jobs because they are severely underpaying and using me.)

Then someone at the company added me there seeing as I listed the company on my profile.

Then a few days later someone ELSE mentioned some seemingly nice compliment about my linkedin profile.

A few months ago I had a series of doctors appointments and had been leaving early for them. The same person who complimented my profile had asked me what my work schedule was after supposedly keeping tabs on when I was coming and going (even though there is SUPPOSEDLY a relaxed policy). They are in a completely different department than me and I dont even have them ADDED on linkedin and barely know them. This is how I know they must have been sleuthing and/or talking behind my back as I have heard them do to a few others.

One time I was helping someone with their email, and one of their supervisors was watching while on call, and when it was not working out for a second, they exclaimed over the phone ‘she doesnt know how the email works!’

Putting this together with the fact that the company has had QUITE a few ‘confidential’ firings in the span of only a year and people just disappeared without a word including one person who suicided, plus the hr department being nearly nonexistent, let’s just say… I’m considering looking at other opportunities

Someone please tell me I’m being paranoid
