TLDR: Potential for full-time benefits consultant position gives me concern (I’ll do my best to keep it short as possible, but I can’t guarentee lol).
So I just got back from an interview with an insurance company. This was the second interview after having a group zoom webinar/interview two days ago. This interview was more about the next steps and how the pay works. I’ll do the best I can to give as much details in the easiest way possible without exposing anyone (especially since I privately recorded it in audio ).
For compensation, it seems like it is straight-commission with an expected total of $2246.40 per customer with $270 stock bonus and $135 APO bonus for year one (comment me for more explanation cuz I ain’t good with this stuff).
The job itself sounds like its basically helping small businesses by selling insurance. Now the issue is, I am not as much of a sales person (or at least have as much experience with pitching sales). I’m an INFJ, which means that sales is not a usual industry for my personality, so I am afraid that I might not get enough pay (or get paid at all). I have another interview coming up for another company and I am still awaiting for another company’s decision. For this insurance company, I am expected next Thursday to talk with the boss again. If I was actually given the offer during the second meeting, should I accept it?
