I always read this subreddit while sh*tting at work. Anyone else? Lol.
I'm so tired of working hard and then barely breaking even.
So here's a fun little math problem. I work 2 food service jobs, adds up to about 40 hrs per week. One pays $12, and the commute is about 20 minutes. The other pays $15, but is about 35 or 40 minutes away.
I'm very experienced in this industry so I can basically get a job at most restaurants.
Should I keep the closer job, and just pick up more hours? Or ask for a raise at the further job? OR, just start over somewhere else? Neither place is at all likely to give me a raise.
