I felt really guilty yesterday because one of my coworkers asked me to cover their shift, and I couldn’t. They said they were sick and they ended up having to come to work anyways. The same girl texted another coworker and asked her if she could come in early to take her place.
Other girl ended up never responding, and showed up late to her shift. Turns out she overslept because she is ALSO sick. We don’t even have 10 people on staff and we are open morning until night, so not many options when it comes to calling out. Now we have 2 sick people being forced to work in FOOD SERVICE making food for people who are completely unaware that they’re being exposed to sickness.
Be wary of where you get your food from.
