Hey all,
So, we have a retirement coming up in my office for a lady that doesn’t know my name. I’ve been working at the company for 5 years, on some of the same committees and done some fundraising events together.
I’m not really that bitter that she doesn’t know my name. It’s the fact that I’m the only black female in the company and she calls me by my very white, blonde coworkers name. I’ve corrected her, other people have corrected her while giving her the most perplexed look, “Like how can you confuse the two of them?!”
Anyways, I’m petty and have been trying to think of how going to sign her retirement card when it comes across my desk. I think of this every time she calls me by my coworkers name.
