I have been offered a temporary contract job that sounds really good and has the opportunity to turn into a perm position. And I got another offer that is very good and already permanent, but less money.
The recruiter for the temp position has annoyed the living shit out of me. He keeps saying all these overly positive things. He seems to be making up things the managers at the job are saying.
Example:
“The owner is walking around to each employee telling them about you and how exciting you are and how loved you already are”.
That’s weird (and gross). But this guy is my point person until I’m officially hired. I can’t deal with him. He never lets me speak or ask questions. If I email him he insists on calling me and keeping me on the phone forever. I tried explaining I need one day off for a scheduled appointment and he said “stop talking” to me. Um, excuse me? Plus, everything he has presented about the actual job is so different from what the owners told me. I don’t feel I have an accurate idea of the position
So I’m taking the lower paying job. At least I have an exact idea of what I’m getting into.
