I went in today, my off day, after getting approval, sort of.
I requested to come in and load out a big pile of trash left over from some remodeling that we had done. It was just mostly cardboard boxes and debris from packing materials. I told them it would take 1 to 2 hours and then decided it would only take one hour. I was given approval to come in at the end of the current clerks shift. I don’t know why they didn’t understand I need to do it while someone was there to cover the front office so that I could have the back door open and not be interrupted by people. Also, making me wait until after lunch when it’s even hotter was stupid. They said they can't authorize the time for me to be paid due to low sales at our location. They could not authorize me to be paid the whole $10 an hour, minus income taxes mind you. I think it is completely ridiculous. It took fucking 45 minutes and I did it off the clock bc the shit had been sitting there for a month and I guess I'm ocd about it. But fuck them. I want to quit so much. Grr.
