So, I haven't asked this much round these parts but:
How do we all feel about the Concept of Food Stamps around here?
I've had to live “below poverty (25K)” for some years now for a few strategic reasons.
Here at r/antiWork we are quick to tell folks to go out and file-for Unemployment when that move makes sense. It think it's a good one, it sees them getting recompense for how Others have made life shitty.
I happen to know that every time (my wife and I) have applied (for food-stamps), we've walked out with benefits the same day, 45min-2hours later. (ID, OR, AR, AZ).
If you've been fired, it might be a life-changing help.
I'm a mutalist/communist.
And always unsure of the political leanings around here, despite what's “on the tin”.Are we generally anti-SNAP?Wanting to get a bead on the general-mood.
I know it has CHANGED my life (and that of my wife) being able to have higher quality protein than I might have been granted from a Food Bank (Yeah I've use those resources too).
Anything to take the pressure off. Glean whatever you can.
