I work for a large health care corporation in the health insurance sector. The company went remote in 2020 and I started for them later that year. The first year for Christmas they did like a weeks worth of virtual events. Last year they did the same. Never a bonus or gift given as long as I've been here. Well this year there has been no talk about Christmas. One of my coworkers sent out a teams chat saying that back in 2019 they had an awesome Christmas party with thousands of dollars worth of gifts for everyone. Basically threw a bunch of higher ups name out there. It was pretty funny, anyhow only myself and two other people responded to the post and he quit or was fired that day. Idk for sure I just know he hasn't been back since. I'm planning to leave the company shortly after the new year anyway but it just blows my mind how these corporations just don't give a fuck about their employees. I'm not the only one noticing and I'm glad people are starting to speak up!
