So many of these protest suggestions reek of privilege

“Go on strike!” “Withdraw all your money from your bank!” Great ideas – until you realise that many people simply can't. We still have bills to pay, and this system is set up so that we can't afford to not work and not have a bank account. For many of us, going on strike means we wouldn't have the money to pay for food and a roof, and there's no guarantee we'd have a job to come back to afterwards. Plenty of us still rent, and some landlords won't take cash – we need to have money in the bank in order to pay rent. This system's set up so that lower class workers can't afford to protest like that, and without high participation, such protests aren't going to do jack.
