So, now I work for Walmart AND McDonald’s

I am 31F. I've been working since I was like 15 or 16. Right now I work as a freight loader at a Walmart DC about 25 miles north of me and the McDonald's down the street. I am also doing school and about half way through a bachelor's degree in cyber security. I have medical issues and am looking to go into surgery in a month for a hysterical. Obviously I live in the US. At the DC, I make $26 per hour. I'm supposed to get about 36 hours a week but for the past almost month we're barely getting 24. They are considering cutting our schedule to two days one week and three the next. Because of this, I got a second job. At McDonald's for a out 16/25 hours a week. They're paying $10 an hour. Because of this, I got a second job. At McDonald's for a out 16/25 hours a week. They're paying $10 an hour. I have worked in that company before, getting as far as a shift manager and worked at the restaurant for about two years. $10 is all they'll pay me for now, bUt ThErE's AlWaYs RoOm FoR AdVaNcEmEnT. I'm not aiming for advancement on a part time job that I do only like two shifts a week at.

To top it all off I am also my son's only parent. His father left like 3, almost 4 years ago. This is ridiculous af. I am lucky enough to own my trailer and car but those are the only reason I can even provide a decent life for my son. I am lucky to be able to have a social life with my bf and coworkers. I can't imagine someone younger doing these things and absolutely dread my son having to make similar decisions.

Thanks to anyone who reads this.
