Some advice cpncerning work uniforms?

I live in NY state and I work in a hotel. About 8 months ago we switched from this ugly ruffly shirt with a black suit jacket as our uniform to a solid black polyester collared shirt with our business logo on it. From the moment we got the new shirts I was rather unhappy. I hate collars. I have never worn them. I am a victim of physical and emotional abuse, including choking, so I cannot stand anything tight around my neck. I was glad to not have to wear the suit we had before, but I requested an XS since the shirts run big, but they said they only had Small. They are very big on me.

Super baggy and even after several washes do not fit me well. I voiced this numerous times when we first got them but no one ever got back to me the several times I tried, so I gave up and figured I had no choice but to wear a shirt that doesn't fit me.

We hired someone new on my shift that I have been training who is allergic to polyester. They ordered her 2 normal cotton t-shirts with a flat neckline. I had no idea they even existed! Why did no one tell me the multiple times I told them their uniform doesn't fit me? I asked my shift manager and she said it shouldn't be an issue, to ask our other manager to order them, so I emailed her. She denied my request because I am not allergic to polyester.

I have dealt with it this long because I had no idea there was another option. But I am constantly overstimulated and uncomfortable while working and I would really like to get these other shirts. Does anyone have advice on how I should proceed? I plan to write an email, including the shift manager, the manager who denied my request, and our highest up in our department who doesn't know this happened yet.

Our highest up is usually pretty nice and sympathetic for people, so I want to let them all know why I'm requesting these new shirts, that the current shirts have always been too big for me, and that the collar is a trigger for my anxiety and cptsd. Should I do this or should I do something else? I'm so nervous about this but I am seriously over these shirts. I really hate them. They're very thick and sweater like and I just can't stand the way they feel on my skin. Please help. Any advice appreciated.
