Doing learning modules in-between your real work in a hospital.
Safety, HIPAA, compliance, discrimination, new SOPs, bariatric/cultural/sex & gender orientation sensitivity training Etc… I have hours of this crap to get through every year. Your yearly raise doesn't start if you are behind on these modules.
Are they important or not?
If they important we should get a dedicated and paid block of time, a dedicated computer and space to complete them.
Instead we try to speed click through them on the same computers everyone needs to chart. In the same space we need to do the real work. Some modules are the same year after year, people know how to click through without looking.
If they aren't important, do away with it. This game we are playing is stupid.
