I was scrolling through reddit and saw a r/twosententecehorror about only people who can afford space travel being saved by the aliens.
I thought an actual good story idea might be that, but with a twist: it's actually a ploy to get all the really rich people into a spaceship together, then all us poor people cheer as it explodes high above the atmosphere. There would be a lot of content and lead up before this, so I can trick rich people into reading it and seeing what happens when they fuck with us for too long.
