I couldn't work for a long time due to illness and had only one job a while ago. Other than that was self employed. Anyway potential employer is insisting that I provide a reference from that job or they will not give me the job. The people who worked with me don't work there now, and there's nobody there willing to give even a basic reference. No idea what to do. Any suggestions?
