Antiwork

Suggestion: I’ve seen some people in the working world who think being entrepreneurial means ignoring major issues and taking advantage of people. That leads to massive turnover and dysfunction for the sake of “growing the business.” That’s not a good idea for anyone involved.

Forcing underpaid staff to work under terrible conditions, and not actively seeking to improve an organization's services or products, is terribly abusive. I have seen it happen too many times. I've seen people drop out of the workforce for years at a time because they were so emotionally scarred by their experience. Leadership has an obligation to create the conditions that lead to greater success for everyone involved, not just for oneself. Not paying attention to practical and obvious issues is negligent and should be criminal.
