I posted recently on this sub about a supervisor asking for details about my family member’s death- they weren’t asking for proof or anything. I even asked if they needed any documentation after saying I wouldn’t give details, but they’re back at it with something new and even more ridiculous.
I had a check in with her on Zoom since we don’t work at the same location. This is a grown woman with a husband and kids and the quote out of her mouth was: “I want to encourage you to be mindful of how you communicate to people. Like, you texted me ‘thank you.’ And you had a period at the end. That can be considered very rude.”
Just want to share guys, in case you weren’t aware, that periods are very rude and it’ll offend your supervisors.
EDIT: her follow up was explaining the short length of the sentence and period usage was what made it rude.
