Surprisingly got the raise I asked for

My boss, who owns multiple houses, offered me a $1 raise after I’ve been working for his local business since last November. I was supposed to have gotten a raise back in January after training, but this didn’t happen due to staffing issues and general chaos. Well, after spending time on this page I said fuck it and asked for $16 an hour, a $3 raise, because of inflation and me taking on leadership roles. He was low key rude about it at first, acting as if he couldn’t afford to pay me (and my coworkers that, I asked to have them brought up too)… I told him I’d be looking for a new job with better hours and pay if he couldn’t raise us up, and sure enough guess who got $16 an hour (and got their coworkers a raise).
