My company has had a high turnover in management over the last 3 years. Each one dumber than the last it seems. They sound good in meetings, talk about objectives, strategy and KPI's with authority. I'm more about helping those around the business do what they need and solving the problem presented to me.
There are too many examples to list of how constant meetings and 'involving all stakeholders' have delayed things or made them worse. The email I got today put me over the edge into bitching about it on Reddit.
I was forwarded an email chain that started 5 months ago. Probably 50 replies back and forth (It was to do with an acquisition and how to handle import duty/VAT). It took me 15 minutes to read and 10 seconds to understand the answer was DONT CHANGE ANYTHING, the changes they proposed would complicate accounting no end for zero benefit. I'm sick of being 'managed' by know nothing chumps.
