I’m a dependent filer, so I don’t get much back come tax season, but I’d be beside myself if I made 1400 a paycheck and left people I worked with without their social services and benefits my tax money pays for.

I’m just devastated that there are so many avenues they could be paid through, funded in their entirety through taxation of people with millions in passive income that are able to skirt the legal requirements of taxes and pay nothing while I’m taxed at 30% for being paid less than a liveable, independent wage.

I’m lost and confused and angry and even with 8.25hrs of overtime, full time 40 hour weeks, I still wouldn’t even be able to afford an apartment on my own and other living expenses.
