It's in retaliation because I asked for healthcare benefits other employees are receiving, but even though it's in my contract they just wanted me to kick the can down the road. Well, in a C-suite group meeting that's record (publicly traded company), i advocated for open discussion about problems so we can solve them beforehand. The COO swiftly tried to shut me up. He didn't counter any of my arguments but simply said you can't say that here. They regularly force all important calls to be unrecorded as they make unilateral decision and ignore company decision making policy.
2 funny things about the meeting. 1)The COO's #1 had an unprompted snicker laugh while I talked prompting me to believe decisions were being made by people too scared to defend themselves in front of employees. 2) the CEO listened and didn't say a fucking word. He never speaks, in any publicly recorded meetings. I pity this pathetic” leader: that they couldn't defend THEMSELVES to anyone but sycophants.
The truth is I got caught up in a stock play. And what pisses me off is this person acts like this because for the last 20 years he's been successful doing nothing. 20 years as a C-suite executive and knows less than 1st year MBA student. It's not the same economy, we don't have the luxury of making mistakes and just being white in the 80s. Most of the world's work is done by 25% of workers. I am manic obsessive and happy to apply my mind to a business that gets the bulk of what I produce. BUT I BETTER GET PAID WHAT I AM FUCKING OWED AND WHAT IS IN THE SIGNED CONTRACT.
I am proud I stood up against corruption I had evidence of. Even if I will be unemployed for the foreseeable future.
