Two days ago, a job listing was posted by Terra Staffing. Listed as 0 experience required because they would train you. So I applied the same day they posted it. I got a call for an interview within a couple hours. I’m to set up a profile on their site so their team can have everything they need before I get there. I.e resume, pay expectation, availability etc. I was also required to bring a printed out resume, and other legal documents to show proof of right to work ( or whatever that’s called but I think you know what I mean ). I only applied for that one specific job, not the staffing company itself. I go in and they make me wait a bit but whatever, people get busy. The guy doesn’t shake my hand, and barely even looks at me to acknowledge me. He obviously hadn’t even glanced at my resume, which I’d given to them twice and didn’t ask if I brought it, which I did. Next 30mins, he’s asking me questions not relating to the job I applied for, obviously fishing to put me in something else. And then waits till after that to tell me that the job is on a staffing freeze right now. So why post a new listing for it?? And then goes to be condescending while telling me that I don’t have the experience required for any of the jobs they have, even though it said 0 required; and that my minimal pay expectation was way too high. The pay I make now, but alright. Complete waste of my time, if I didn’t have such bad anxiety I would’ve walked out. Why even bother calling me back for an interview when you’re not actually hiring at all. Super frustrating.
