“That’s just what being an adult is”

That's what everyone has been telling me ever since I got a job recently in response to me feeling so drained out. It sounds silly but working like.. physically and mentally hurts. Everyone seems to universally agree that working really sucks, and yet everyone also defends the system of it. I.. hate that. So much. Like genuinely, I keep thinking what do I have to look forward to? I work for 8 hours, and sure yeah then I have time off. But all that time I do have to myself is pretty much spent recovering and resting from working. That seems to be all adult life is, you will work until you die and when you actually do get time off, it's just spent being exhausted. All of this, just so you can not die. I say fuck. That. If that's what it is, I think I'd rather just be…

If that's what it is, I think I'd rather just be unalived.
Oh and this is the best part. I actually work part-time, most people have it WAY worse than me. I can't even comprehend working like 40-60 hours a week. And after all that, maybe MAYBE when I'm old I can finally sit back and relax. But even that isn't really a given.
