The worst bosses and the best bosses according to article in the Scientific American. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of good quality management. All organizations will rise or fall on quality of leadership.
- Keep your managers happy…that does trickle down.
- Do not micromanage your employees.
- Just because an employee is good at something does not make them management material.
- Managers/Leaders need to be strong in emotional intelligence. If you are an owner or supervisor who is not emotionally intelligent, either sell the company, quit, or find a mentor who is and learn to grow the fuck up.
- A general rule: hire older people and pay them what they're worth.
