He keeps blaming external factors (which to be fair, do play a part in it) like a lot of contracts being consistently late with payments.
But it’s not that, he’s just unbelievably irresponsible with money. Being so close with him means I have a deep understanding of his finances and what he spends it on, as we do talk almost every day. 3 days into the month and he spent £4k on a literal TOY, draining not only the business but his personal funds too.
To be honest I was quite taken back by this, it’s the most impulsive & unnecessary purchase I’ve ever seen
So here comes the end of the month and guess what? Yeah… almost 3 weeks late.
Now to add insult to injury, he’s been constantly asking to borrow money off of me throughout the month.
I’ve only lent £60 but I feel like a mug for even doing that.
I’m in my early 20s and I’ve just recently started another business that’s doing pretty well, thing is, without that 90% of my income I get from this company, it’s getting really hard to fund this.
It’s meant I’ve had to take loans out from family members just to pay rent, so it’s not just affecting me anymore.
I did rather poor in my GCSE’s, and I’d only be able to jump into a McDonald job or something like that.
I don’t know what to do or how to approach this anymore, any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
Edit: He’s also in £30k of debt and is still spanking $$$ like this.
