Recently had an awful bout with Covid. Rather than being able to take a leave as is the normal process- or so it had been previously- there was an expectation I could just work from home throughout.
Now granted it was stated like, “well, when you feel well enough,” but to me, that was manipulative. I ended up being on calls, handling normal processes while having a 101 fever and sick as hell.
I felt forced into it as it was an expectation because nowadays,” it’s just a cold.”
Anyway, at this point, the experience has put such an awful taste in my mouth I want to leave the company. Am I being out of line? Making too big a deal? Tia for your take.
